Homemade Stir-Fry
I'm no food aficionado, nor am I a master cook/chef, but I was pretty proud of the dish I made last night. For the first time ever, I made my own stir-fry, instead of using one of La Choy's pre-made cans. I thought the skillet filled with zuchinni, yellow squash, pea pods, water chestnuts, and red peppers looked pretty, so I ran out of the kitchen to grab my camera and came back to snap this shot.

Let's Play Desert Island!
So I realize I didn't really give you guys an update on whether or not it really did snow all night a couple of weeks ago. Well, it did. It snowed so much that we had about 9.5 inches the next morning, and I took a snow day and didn't go into work. And then, that afternoon, I got a stomach virus. So for about 48 hours all I did was sleep and watch movies (and cross off two Johnny Depp movies from my list). And suddenly, once the snow had been around for a day or two and it had started to turn dirty and brown, I was ready for spring. Thankfully it's been nice the past couple of days and is supposed to be until at least the end of the week or weekend. I am very ready for spring. I love snow, but I'm sick of the cold. I want to be able to take Lizzie for a walk without it taking me a full five minutes to coordinate a plethora of layers, hats, gloves, and boots.
I've been getting into The Office lately, and Keith and I played a game we saw them play on the show. I invite all of you to post your responses.
Desert Island
Name three books you would have with you if you were to be stranded on a desert island indefinitely.
1. Pride and Prejudice
2. Twilight
3. A Midsummer Night's Dream
There I have English literature, easy-to-read chick lit, and Shakespeare. Yes, Shakespeare is his own category.
Name 5 movies you would have with you in the same situation.
1. Casablanca
2. Super Troopers
3. Young Frankenstein
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
5. Futurama: Bender's Big Score
My favorite movie of all time (and a classic), the movie that solidified my relationship with my husband, another hilarious comedy, a good action movie, and I had to slip some Futurama in there, seeing as how I can't sleep without watching at least one episode of the series.
Who wants to play this game with me?!

The Biggest Loser
I'm not a fan of crying, but you know what gets me every time? The Biggest Loser. I can't help it. Every time those people get up on the scale to learn that they've lost 12 or 15 pounds every week, when they weren't able to lose 5 in 6 months at home, tears spontaneously spring up in my eyes. This isn't particularly a good thing when I'm watching the episodes online on my breaks at work, but whatever. Anyway, I'm just wondering if any of you are as addicted to this show as I am. I'm not a diehard fan, but I have been watching every episode this season (it doesn't hurt that I think Bob is cute) and I've gotta tell ya, their stories are always inspiring. Plus, I like the cooking/training tips you get every once in awhile. On days when I watch the show, I always look forward to going to the gym and working out. It's a nice little push out the door. :-)
